BBC Learning English Website

 1. Courses

Unit 1: Learning Circles (Sesssion 1)

For a free course, I think it is quite useful since it offers different ways of learning English. It also shows us a case where two mothers have a conversation in a school which can be quite real. What I liked the most was that at the end of the session there is a video where he tells you wat the pronunciation of different words is like to practice.

2. Grammar

Unit 6: Great achievers (Past Simple) (Session 1)

In this section, only activity number 2 seemed interesting to me since it test the grammar more and immediately indicates your mistakes, in addition to the fact that it is a very intuitive and easy to follow activity. I think that something good is that at the beginning it tells you to do the quiz that the same characters in the story do, wich makes you feel part of the conversation in activity 2.

3. Pronunciation

Tims Pronunciation Workshop: Assimilation

The good thing about this section is that the material is very well explained and the videos are very short, so it becomes very easy to pay attention, but the bad thing is that there is no feedback or someone who can tell you if you are doing it right or bad.

4. Vocabulary

10 Easy English Words: Vegetables

This is the section that I liked the least since I think that they provide little vocabulary and I did not find activities that put the vocabulary learned to the test. Maybe something good is that the videos are visually clear and help to understand what is being taught.

5. News

Session 8: Turkey and Syria Erthquakes

It seems to me that it is a great section since, in addition to talking about current issues, it puts different skills into practice at the same time, listening, reading and grammar, it also provides new vocabulary.
